How to make a bid - line entry venues
iBidU lets you set the price you are prepared to pay to get to the head of the waiting line at a venue on iBidU. The price you pay through iBidU is the cost purely of line jumping, not the ticket cost of entry, if any.
1. From the home screen, tap 'Bid' and on the Bid screen (shown below) enter the details requested:
in the '£' field the total amount you are prepared to pay
in the 'people' field the number of people you are paying for to jump the line, including you, e.g. 2
select the venue if you didn't already do so on the home screen. By default, iBidU will display the closest venue to your current location - to change to the one you are interested in, just tap on that field and type the first few letters of the venue you want to bid at, and select it from the drop down list.
type anything additional you want the venue to know in the 'notes...' field
The bottom section summarises your bid and shows what your bid will cost. Press 'Accept' when you are done.
2. Your bid then gets notified to the venue's house or door manager and is listed on the home screen (with a green icon to show yours amongst other peoples) - if / when the venue accepts your offer, you get a notification asking if you want to continue. If you accept, then both your screens change to the same colour to help find each other (see below). You see yourself as a blue dot, the venue is a red pin.
You click the credit card button to pay (or Paypal or Apple Pay if those are your selected payment methods) when you are with the house / door manager at the front of the line - they need to accept on their screen before you can pay them - you can still cancel the transaction until now, should you wish.
3. Below is an example of your payment screen, which should be familiar to you from other apps you use, whether with PayPal, a credit card or Apple Pay - at this point the transaction becomes final.
4. When you have paid the venue, the transaction is complete.
All completed transactions may be viewed through your Account screen, simply click on the 'Payments Statement' button to see a full list of transactions, from which you can select to view details of any one.
