1. Who is the Data Controller?
IBidU is a trading name of Adrian Harris and also refers to the iBidYou website and iBidU App and the services provided through it (the “App”).
2. Your rights
We comply with and are registered under the data protection laws in the United Kingdom and take all reasonable steps to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal data.
It is your responsibility to change any information about you which you can access through your iBidU user account settings that is incorrect, out of date or no longer relevant to you.
You are entitled to see details of the information we hold about you if you no longer use IBidU. If any of the information held is inaccurate we will also make any necessary amendments and confirm to you that these have been made.

3. Information we may collect and process
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
We may collect and process the following data about you:
your name, contact details, registration or profile information and reporting information about your use of any iBidU services;
details required in order to collect and pay to you any fees as relevant;
your mode of payment selection;
user ratings information;
where you choose to use iBidU’s social networking features or pages (including our Facebook pages and Instagram and Twitter accounts), such information that you post or about you;
your location data, but only in respect of its applicability to your beneficial usage of the iBidU service, see ‘Your Location Data’ below;
any other information you provide to us pursuant to your use of iBidu services;
if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence including emails and call recordings;
details about the device you use to access and/or use any iBidU services, which may include your IP address or other unique device identifiers;
details of your visits to the App, the way you user it, the resources you access and any data you download;
cookies information as set out in section 10 below;
we may also gather information about you from other sources, including but not limited to (a) credit reference agencies; (b) fraud prevention agencies; and (c) publicly available sources.
4. How will we use your data?
We may use your data for the following purposes and in the following ways, to:
disclose your location to, and make you contactable by, another user of the App when you have chosen to do so, through accepting another user’s bid or offer in the App, or by yourself making a bid or offer in the App;
to maintain a log of your location immediately prior and subsequently to a table / seating exchange transaction in the App, so as to be able to fairly resolve any potential disputes over successful completion of that transaction;
build a profile of your preferences so we can personalise the App and provide you the relevant information;
inform you of the prior usage by others of the App in your current location;
inform you of the current user activity of the App in your current location;
administer your account with us;
respond to your emails to discuss your use of the App and answer any support queries you may have;
identify issues with the operation of the App, and provide crash reports in order to find resolution for performance issues;
improve the design, functionality and/or content of the pages of the App and customise them for users;
carry out research on our users app usage choices, venue selection and frequency and timing of visits;
share with social networking sites and third party partners only at your request (if/when this functionality is enabled);
disclose to lawful authorities when required to do so by law or where appropriate in our opinion as a responsible company to respond to their request;
to provide the iBidU services to you including processing any bookings and/or payments, notwithstanding that we do not store your credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties;
your contact details may be used to notify you about changes to any iBidU services or respond to any communication or request from you;
to investigate any complaints or potential breaches of the service; and
for debt tracing, debt recovery, credit management and crime, fraud and money laundering detection and prevention.
5. How long will we keep your data?
If you have not actively used our service for the last three years we will automatically deactivate your account. You will be notified of the deactivation and you will be able to reactivate your account should you wish to continue using our service. Unless you instruct us to permanently delete your information we keep records pertaining to our business, including the transactions you have made, so that we can service your account appropriately and to satisfy other business and legal obligations and needs that we have. Please refer to Section 8 for our rules on the permanent deletion of customer accounts.
6. What happens to your data when you deactivate your account?
If you deactivate your account we will stop sending you alerts for all properties registered through your account. We will retain your information and we will continue to use any information that you have shared with us for statistical analysis purposes. You will be able to reactivate your account by logging in and following the advised reactivation steps.
7. What happens to your data if you die?
It is our policy to completely deactivate the user account of a notified deceased person. This means that we will stop sending out any communications, including alerts, to the account. When we are notified of a deceased customer account close request, IBidU researches the request and permanently deactivates the deceased person's account. However, like most businesses, we keep records pertaining to our business so that we can satisfy other business and legal obligations that we have. Because of these requirements we cannot delete account information from our system until our business need for the information has expired after three years.
8. Permanent deletion of customer data
If you or us have deactivated your account you can request to permanently delete your account and all personal information we store UNLESS you have used our service in the last three years in which case we need to retain your information in order to satisfy our business and legal requirements. Note that the deletion of an account is permanent with no option for recovery.
9. Where is my data stored and how is it sent to my computer or mobile device?
All personal information is held on secure cloud-based servers, operated by reputable third party services. By logging into your account you access this information and it is downloaded in an encrypted format to the mobile phone or the website. When you end a user session on IBidU by closing the browser window on your computer or by closing the App all personal information is destroyed and will only become accessible after logging in again. Note that some web browsers have features to keep information entered in forms in memory. If you are concerned about such features we advise you to regularly delete your browsing history and to disable the automatic form filling feature offered by some browsers. Please refer to your browser’s Help facility for more information.
A cookie identifies your computer to a server that then enables information to be stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies allow a computer to be identified as corresponding to one that has accessed another website or visited a Site previously. Cookies are commonly used on the Internet and do not harm your computer system.
We may, from time to time use and serve cookies, pixel tags or action tags. Any information that is collected via cookies, pixels and action tags is completely anonymous.
To allow you to log into your account without entering your user name and password. You can disable this feature (if available) by logging out of your account.
Collating anonymous aggregated information that is used to manage and plan enhancements to our services.
We are continually looking to adopt and implement certain practices and technologies in order that we may improve your user experience.
11. Third parties
We work with third parties to research certain usage and activities on our website on our behalf. No personal information about you is shared, however in the course of conducting this research these third parties may place a unique 'cookie' on your browser.
12. How can I stop cookies and what effect will this have?
You can stop cookies from being deployed on your computer by configuring your browser not to accept them or opt-out. Please refer to your browser's 'help' facility.
Please be aware that deleting certain cookies can result in difficulties when navigating around sites.
